Lynxfang needed to see Owlfeather, he had to. They didn't talk at the gathering, and he hated to admit it but he loved her. He padded into MoonClan camp and reached the Leaders' Den. "Owl, are you in here? It's me Lynx, will you meet me in the territory?" He mewed before sprinting out of their camp area and back into the territory. He had rolled in some mud before coming so his scent would smell more earthy then MoonClan normally did but not abnormal.

The brown tabby was curled up in her nest, a gentle smile upon her face. The sound of a familiar voice made her ears perk and her head raise. Her aqua blue eyes were alert and only got a glimpse of Lynx before he dashed away. Owlfeather quickly got her feet and exited the den. Her eyes glanced around with worry, it seemed no one knew about the Streamclanner's entrance. The she-cat slipped out of the camp secretly. The she-cat looked around the open grassland in search for the Streamclan deputy. In the distance she noticed a figure. She quickly made her way over to it and gave him a friendly glare, "Why such the daring move Lynx? If you have Clan matters to deal with you could have just waited by the border, a patrol would have informed me." Owlfeather had little idea for her feelings for the brown tabby tom and if she did would have never spoken a word about it.

"Fawnstar would have heard of it. he would then suspect something was going on between us two. You and I both know we cannot have that." Lynxfang mewed in a voice just above a whisper. Before Owl could say another word he nuzzled her and licked her cheek in affection. H liked her more than a friend, way more.

The she-cat gave a chuckle and listened to the tom. She had a wonderful comment to reply to his words, but she never got the change to say it. Before she could, the brown tom nuzzled her and gave her cheek a lick. Owlfeather was also a bold one. Never afraid to speak her mind or stand out from a crowd. She had a smart comment for every comment spoken, but now she seemed to be at a lost. She quickly turned her aqua blue gaze away from the tom and under her brown tabby fur her skin grew red and warm with embarrassment. Upon her youthful face was a pouting like face that made her seem cute like a kit, but also stubborn like an apprentice. "Lynx," the deputy said with a stubborn like tone. She too like Lynx, the same feelings he felt for her, but she knew this was wrong. The feelings, the meetings, the secrets, all wrong. Still, she could not help, but do this. She had no control over it.

"What is my dear, your wish is my command." He mewed twining his tail with hers, he would wash off before he went back to his camp but right now none of that mattered with her next to him. She was beautiful and really he was pretty sure he loved her. If if it meant something like exile, which wouldn't happen because no one would find out.

Owlfeather turned her head slight towards him and gave him a soft smile. Owlfeather took a deep breath and rested her body gently upon Lynxfang's. "You can't give me what I wish love. What I want is for our love not to be a crime. I want to be able to be with you without going behind my Clan's back." Owlfeather looked at the handsome tom with beautiful aqua blue eyes, "Lynx you know I love you, but I must pick my Clan first. Please know this now and understand." The she-cat hated to say it, but it was always like this. Her Clan was her life. Without life, she would be a corspe. Her love, she learned from her Clan. They were her spirit and without it, she would never be the same. She loved Lynx, so much it might as well be a crime or bad for her health, but he was everything she dreamed of.

Lynxfang let out a sad smile. "I understand, I-I better get going home then." He mewed breaking away from her and heading home, his heart had turned to stone and dropped. She had chose he Clan instead of their love, after all they had gone through to get where they were, she had changed her mind. She's right, plus you should have known to not have fallen in love, it just turns around and stabs you in the back. He thought hoping to give himself more confidence about what had just happened. He waded across the river, washing her scent from him for good.

Owlfeather let her head hang low her blue eyes locking onto the ground. When she raised them and turned her head to rest her gaze upon Lynxfang she felt as if her chest was being clawed at. How could she do this? Wait, she couldn't, not like this. She turned around and began to run after him. "Wait Lynx, I'm sorry I just can't. Don't leave me." Owlfeather tried to make her way through the river, her brown tabby fur becoming soaked and wet.

Lynxfang heard his name, stopping he turned to see the thick pelted she-cat try to come after him. Was she trying to get herself killed? "Owl?" He called wading toward her again. He nudged her out of the water. "Are you okay?" He mewed.

The she-cat laid down once she was out of the water. She coughed up some water she had taken when she was struggling. Looking up at him with gentle blue eyes she smiled, "Don't worry, I'm alright. I do so enjoy having land under my feet than water." She gave a small smile and coughed some more.

"What do you wish to speak to me about?" He mewed bluntly, still in the water. The water looked murky in the dark light but he was positive there were nothing like snapping turtles in it.
